I'm a nosey Realtor
Look, I'm the nosiest realtor you will ever meet. Here's why…
I need to know a lot. Yes, yes. Beds and baths, but not just that. I want to know what those beds and baths are for.
What are we doing in these spaces? Who's living in these spaces? How are we utilizing them? How often are we utilizing?
How do we want them to feel?
When do we sleep? Who sleeps where?
Do we have pets?
Do we have family members that come and visit?
Do we have friends that come and visit? How often?
Do we have, alternatively, mobile folks?
What do you love about the space you live in? What do you hate about the space you live in now?
Did you love your childhood home? What was it like?
Do you and your partner agree on what you want? (Probably not.) What is your vision for your home (partner one)? What is your vision for your home (partner two)?
Oh, you need a yard. What are we using this yard for?
You want walkability. What types of places do you walk to now? Or would you envision yourself walking to?
How does your ideal space feel?
How often are we home?
How stable do we feel in terms of savings?
Are you a handy person? What types of projects would make you nervous?
Do you see a home as an investment?
Each question helps me understand you better and figuring out what you want also what scares you and what gets you excited.
I'm gonna find the perfect house for you. It might be unexpected, but when you walk into it, you will know. That's the beauty of having a professional as a realtor. I can't read your mind. I'm not gonna try. But I will ask the right questions. I will find your dream home, and you might be surprised what it actually looks like.
